“Go straight here! I researched and compared prices of at least 8 other places before coming here to sell coins that I had invested in. There was no line and we were immediately acknowledged. The associate was through, helpful, and friendly. He even told me which pieces were worth more melted down. I got a very fair deal and great service.”

“I came to get rid of some old gold from my grandma and I decided to stop here from other reviews I read. The minute I walked in I felt comfortable and welcome. The owner and his wife were both very nice and welcoming. They took their time with me and explained everything. I got an amazing price for my gold. More than I expected! I will definitely be coming back!”

“I am not sure which gentleman I spoke with this evening but I had a great experience! He was very friendly, straightforward and honest. A great combination. He answered my questions openly, whereas other buyers would not give a direct answer. I got a great deal and will definitely be going back again. It was a pleasure doing business with you today.”

“Today I came into Cash for Gold for the first time ever in my life. I had some jewelry sent to me from a deceased family member not knowing what to expect. Didn’t even expect to get much, but I was very thankful for the customer service that I received at this location and it was a very smooth process in general. The gentleman here very informative about selling all types of Jewelry and Gold and helpful through the process! I will for sure be returning back to this location for any future sales thank you so much for a quick and easy experience.”

“The owner at Cash for Gold was friendly, nice, and kept all the jewelry in front of me at all times. He explained about some of the items, and answered any questions I had about the pieces. I felt I received a fair value for the items based on the research I had done on the jewelry, and the spot value. I came to this place after a horrible experience at another local gold dealer in town, and I would definitely return here if I had jewelry to sell!”

“If you want to receive a great price for your gold or silver, THIS, is the place to go to! I've been there twice before and each time, I've come away TOTALLY satisfied! Dean, one of the owners, was a pleasure to deal with. Such a comfortable experience and I left with some great money that I could really use! Seriously, if you want to sell some precious metal, here's the place to go! I'll never go anywhere else! 10 stars!!”

“Had some old jewelry that was my late mother’s. If it looked gold I brought it to be checked. Very friendly family owned business. They checked each piece I brought and affirmed which pieces were gold and which were not. I left with cash in hand and extremely happy. I would definitely recommend them”

“I had old jewelry to sell and they offered me the best price compared to their local competitors. Not only did they offer fair pricing, but they were very knowledgeable and explained how they arrived at their quote. All that and great customer service makes it easy to give them 5 stars.”

Will Van Wig · 2018-07-29

“Got a good price for the items I wanted to sell, and had a good time talking to the owner and one of his regular customers. I even ended up with the other customer giving me a pair of her earrings that I admired. I walked out smiling. I plan on going back with a ring I want to sell.”

Charlotte Hanlon · 2025-03-07

“This guys are honest. They gave me 90% of the spot price for gold bullions (not coins) as promised when PGS of Palatine will only pay 80%. They clearly pay better and easy to talk to. Stay away from PGS, they will pay you $100 less per ounce than other gold buyers in Algonquin.”
